Living Halal
Halal packaged food brand Zabiha Halal wanted to create an online space to host original content that would resonate with Muslim Canadians and allow them to express pride in their Canadian Muslim identities while fostering discussions about living a halal lifestyle, not just eat halal food. The result was Living Halal, a lifestyle blog designed for young, Canadian, Muslim moms to celebrate their culture.
Ramadan Campaigns
While Living Halal had a year-round content strategy and calendar, Ramadan is a particularly important time of year for this audience, and each year the Ramadan campaign is the biggest in the Zabiha Halal marketing calendar. I headed the 2018 Ramadan Campaign, which resulted in double the usual amount of engagement on social media channels and a 438% increase in site traffic.
My role in the campaign included social media strategy and content management, influencer content management (blog posts and Instagram takeovers), branded blog post creation, video production, direct email campaign strategy, copywriting and management, as well as writing copy to accompany a wide variety of visual assets.
