Evolution Optiks
A focused elevator pitch for a company aiming to change the way we look at screens
Evolution Optiks, a Barbados-based startup with a Montreal-based R&D lab, is developing game-changing tech: software that allows device screens to automatically adjust to a user’s unique vision requirements and eliminate the need for reading glasses.
Our challenge was to redesign their website to convey the essential aspects of their and intellectual property portfolio in a way that was both concise and compelling enough to encourage potential investors and collaborators to contact the company for more details.
Our team also faced the additional challenge of conveying the information entirely via text, since no images or video of any operational prototypes were available at the time. The stakeholders – all of whom held advanced science, engineering or intellectual property law degrees – also had definite opinions on how the potential applications for their technology could be portrayed. Crafting the content became a delicate balance between conveying the promise Evolution Optiks technology could hold for diverse industries, while being careful to adhere to regulatory guidelines for those industries.
To satisfy all stakeholders needs for accuracy and compliance, and make the content digestible enough to pique the interest of investors who don’t have advanced physics degrees, we envisioned the website as a digital elevator pitch. This allowed us to address all the key aspects of the Evolution Optiks technology, team and potential applications enough to intrigue potential investors and collaborators, then direct them to contact the correct organization member for more details about the specific aspects they want more information on.
